It had been a long time since we’d had a tri, so it’s nice to have a little black and tan face around again. I don’t believe I’ve ever had a collie with so much energy as Ticia has. On our afternoon walks, she dashes ahead through the front field, always leading the way. Sometimes she’ll leap above the tall grass, tucking all four feet right up under her belly, and seems just to hang in the air for the longest time. On the path through the woods, Ticia rushes down the path, then back to us and out again. She covers many times the ground Ed and I and the other dogs do. These walk are my favorite time of the day. What could be better than a hike in the woods in a swirl of dogs?
Ticia was called “Morticia” when she came to us (Carmen likes The Adams Family), but mostly we just abbreviate it.
Ticia has points toward her championship, is close to a backpacking title and is in training for obedience and rally. Hopefully she’ll be able to keep her feet on the floor.
